This design was originally created to be worn as a little bolero-style cover-up. I then started to play with the pattern and a cardigan and waistcoat version was born. So this became a 3-in-1 pattern plus - the possibilities are endless.

I call this stitch pattern the Weaving Dynamic Squares pattern. A dynamic square is a square sitting on its point rather than its flat base (geometry enthusiast over here - sorry - not sorry). It is not the official stitch pattern name by any means, just my name!

As this is a made-to-measure pattern, you could use any yarn weight and appropriate hook to achieve a fabric with good drape.

This is what I used in my versions:
Cardigan: 4x 100g (170m) skein of Pleiades Sock Yarn by Vegan Yarn and 4.5mm hook
Waistcoat: 6x 50g (120m) King Cole Linendale DK in Mushroom and 4.5mm hook
Bolero: 4x 50g (120m) King Cole Linendale DK in Damson and 4mm hook
